Broad Front UNEN
Broad Front UNEN () was a center-left political coalition in Argentina. It arose through an alliance between Radical Civic Union, Civic Coalition ARI, Proyecto Sur, Freemen of the South Movement, Socialist Party, Authentic Socialist Party, and GEN. The name UNEN is an acronym of "Unión y Encuentro" (). Founded in April 2014, the purpose of the coalition was to unite the parties that oppose Peronism and Kirchnerism in a single entity, but the inclusion of the center-right party Republican Proposal was a controversial topic among the parties. Fernando Solanas
Fernando Ezequiel "Pino" Solanas (16 February 1936 – 6 November 2020) was an Argentine film director, screenwriter, Film score, score composer and politician. His films include; ''The Hour of the Furnaces, La hora de los hornos (The Hour of the Furnaces)'' (1968), ''El Exilio de Gardel (Tangos), Tangos: el exilio de Gardel'' (1985), ''Sur (film), Sur'' (1988), ''The Journey (1992 film), El viaje'' (1992), ''La nube'' (1998) and ''Memoria del saqueo'' (2004), among many others. He was Argentine Senate, National Senator representing the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires for six years, from 2013 to 2019. Solanas studied theatre, music, and law. In 1962, he directed his first short feature ''Seguir andando'' and in 1968 he covertly produced and directed his first long feature film ''The Hour of the Furnaces, La Hora de los Hornos'', a documentary on neo-colonialism and violence in Latin America. 2011 Argentine General Election
General elections were held in Argentina on Sunday, 23 October 2011. Incumbent president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner of the Front for Victory won in a landslide, with 54% of the vote, securing a second term in office. Republican Proposal (), usually referred to by its abbreviation PRO, is a political party in Argentina. Kirchnerism ( ) is an Argentine political movement based on ideals formed by the supporters of spouses Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who consecutively served as Presidents of Argentina.
