Brittny Anderson
Brittny Anderson is a Canadian politician who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2020 British Columbia general election. She represents the electoral district of Kootenay Central as a member of the British Columbia New Democratic Party (BC NDP). Anderson was named the premier’s special advisor on youth on April 14, 2021 and the parliamentary secretary for tourism in December 2022. After the 2024 British Columbia general election, 2024 election, in which she was one of only four BC NDP MLAs elected in the British Columbia Interior, Interior, she was appointed Minister of State for Local Governments and Rural Communities. The 2024 British Columbia general election was held on October 19, 2024, to elect 93 members (MLAs) of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Legislative Assembly to serve in the 43rd parliament of the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of British Columbia. The Kootenays or Kootenay ( ) is a region of southeastern British Columbia. It takes its name from the Kootenay River, which in turn was named for the Kutenai First Nations people.
