Brittany Lynne Mahomes ( Matthews; born August 31, 1995) is an American sports team co-owner and former women's association football, soccer player who played as a Forward (association football), forward. She is a founding co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a team in the American professional top-division National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Early life Mahomes attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. An accomplished soccer player, in her senior year, she was named WHS Offensive MVP and was an All-East Texas forward with 22 goals and five assists. Playing career Mahomes did not expect to play collegiate soccer after graduating from high school, but played at the University of Texas at Tyler for the Texas–Tyler Patriots women's soccer team after speaking to players she knew there. Patrick Lavon Mahomes II ( ; born September 17, 1995) is an American professional football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Mahomes has led the Chiefs to seven consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances and five Super Bowl appearances since becoming their starting quarterback in 2018. He is one of five quarterbacks in NFL history to win three or more Super Bowls as a starter. Mahomes is widely considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
