Britta Martin (born 2 September 1978 in Hannover, Germany) is a German born, New Zealand based professional triathlete and multiple winner of Ironman distance races all over the world (2012, 2014). Career Britta Martin studied sports science at the Technical University Munich. In the beginning she has been a cyclist. In her first triathlon season 2003 she won her first two competitions in the Munich region together with Faris Al-Sultan, winner of the Ironman World Championships two years later, as the fastest man on the podium. Britta Gröndahl (; 1914–2002) was a Swedish writer, journalist, translator, and anarcho-syndicalist activist. Biography Britta Maartman was born on 8 March 1914, in Eskilstuna. She was the daughter of Hans Maartman, a right-wing councillor for the Eskilstuna Municipality, and Dagmar Tideman.
