British Forces Foundation
The British Forces Foundation is a British charitable foundation, launched in May 1999 by comedian Jim Davidson OBE to support the well-being of the members of Britain's armed forces through the provision of high quality entertainment. The Prince of Wales is Patron, and former Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher was President. The BFF stages morale-boosting shows for the forces at home, and in combat zones, and also stages frequent fund-raising events including an annual fund-raising Ball and auction. Jim Davidson
James Cameron Davidson (born 13 December 1953) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, singer and TV presenter. He hosted the television shows '' Big Break'' and '' The Generation Game''. In 2014 he was the winner of the 13th series of ''Celebrity Big Brother''. He also developed three adult pantomime shows, ''Boobs in the Wood'', ''Chalkie Does Dallas'', and '' Sinderella''. British Forces
The British Armed Forces are the unified military forces responsible for the defence of the United Kingdom, its Overseas Territories and the Crown Dependencies. They also promote the UK's wider interests, support international peacekeeping efforts and provide humanitarian aid. The force is also known as His Majesty's Armed Forces. Services Sound And Vision Corporation
The Services Sound and Vision Corporation (SSVC) was a British registered charity. Set up in 1982 from the merger of the Services Kinema Corporation (SKC) and the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) to "entertain and inform Britain's Armed Forces around the world", its activities included the British Forces Broadcasting Service with its radio and television operations, SSVC Cinemas, the British Defence Film Library, and its live events arm, Combined Services Entertainment (a successor to ENSA).
