The Brice Apartments, located at 228 2nd Ave. E. in Kalispell, Montana, were built in 1936. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. Early years Brinkman was born in Spokane, Washington in November 1892. His father, Gustave A. Brinkman, emigrated from Germany in 1880 and worked as a carpenter. Kalispell (, Montana Salish: Ql̓ispé, Kutenai language: kqayaqawakⱡuʔnam) is a city in, and the county seat of, Flathead County, Montana, United States. The 2020 census put Kalispell's population at 24,558. In Montana's northwest region, it is the largest city, and the commercial center, of the Kalispell Micropolitan Statistical Area. The name Kalispell is a Salish word meaning "flat land above the lake". History Using his own capital, Charles Edward Conrad, a businessman and banker from Fort Benton, Montana, formed the Kalispell Townsite Company with three other men. Stripped Classicism (or "Starved Classicism" or "Grecian Moderne") Jstor is primarily a 20th-century classicist architectural style stripped of most or all ornamentation, frequently employed by governments while designing official buildings.
