Brian Joseph Scott (born January 12, 1988) is an American former professional stock car racing driver. Racing career Beginnings Scott has been racing competitively since the age of 12. One of his early career highlights came at the 360 Nationals at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington, when he competed against an elite field of dirt racers and brought home an impressive second-place finish. He recently was the first Idaho native to make a debut at the Daytona 500. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series While splitting time between USAR and Late Models, Scott's father, JB, announced he had purchased the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team Xpress Motorsports. Scott then made his NASCAR debut at the Smith's Las Vegas 350 and in 2008 moved to the Trucks full-time to run for and eventually finish second for the Rookie of the Year. Charlotte Motor Speedway (known as Lowe's Motor Speedway from 1999 to 2009 due to sponsorship reasons) is a quad-oval Oval track racing#Intermediate, intermediate speedway in Concord, North Carolina. It has hosted various major races since its inaugural season of racing in 1960, including NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA SportsCar Championship races. The facility is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Speedway Motorsports, LLC (SMI), with Greg Walter serving as its general manager. Charlotte Motor Speedway is served by U.S. Route 29. New Hampshire Motor Speedway (formerly known as the New Hampshire International Speedway from 1989 to 2007, the Bryar Motorsports Park from 1965 to 1989, and as the 106 Midway Raceway from 1961 to 1964) is a oval track in Loudon, New Hampshire. It has hosted various major races throughout its existence, including NASCAR, IndyCar, modified races, and the Loudon Classic. The venue has a capacity of 44,000 as of 2024. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is currently owned by Speedway Motorsports, LLC (SMI) and is led by track general manager David McGrath. Initially opening as a dirt oval in 1961 under the control of Keith Bryar, the motorsports complex was formed four years later after Bryar built a road course to host major motorcycle races.
