Brian Piccolo Park
Brian Piccolo Park is a sports venue located in Cooper City, Florida. The ground was opened in 1989 on 175.2-acre of land with the facilities of three soccer fields, two cricket fields, two basketball court as well as a velodrome. In 2004, the ground played host to first-class cricket when the United States cricket team played Canadian cricket team in the ICC Intercontinental Cup. Since then the ground has hosted many non-first-class cricket matches. It also served as the home ground for the Florida Thunder a Pro Cricket team in 2004. The park is also home to one of the few cycling tracks in South Florida. The park also encompasses a skateboard park. It is considered one of the main centers for athletic activity in Broward County Parks. Cooper City is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is named for Morris Cooper, who founded the community in 1959. The city's population was 34,401 at the 2020 census. In 2006, with the annexation of the Waldrep Dairy Farm, Cooper City started construction on the first major new home construction project within the past few decades. Velodrome
A velodrome is an arena for track cycling. Modern velodromes feature steeply banked oval tracks, consisting of two 180-degree circular bends connected by two straights. The straights transition to the circular turn through a moderate easement curve. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. ICC Intercontinental Cup
The ICC Intercontinental Cup was a first-class cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as part of its cricket development programme. It was designed to allow Associate Members of the ICC the chance to play first-class cricket matches over four days against teams of similar skill in a competition environment and prepare them for eventual promotion to Test cricket status. Cricket Grounds In The United States
