Brian Mannix
Brian Mannix (born 7 October 1961 in Melbourne) is an Australian rock music singer and actor. He is best known as the lead singer of 1980s band Uncanny X-Men. He was a regular on television quiz show '' Spicks and Specks''. Career 1981–1987: Uncanny X-Men From 1981 to 1987, Mannix was the lead singer of Australian band Uncanny X-Men. The band released two top twenty albums, '' 'Cos Life Hurts'' and '' What You Give Is What You Get''. Note: Used for Australian Singles and Albums charting from 1974 until ARIA created their own charts in mid-1988. The group disbanded in 1987, however continue to do occasional appearances, such as the ''Countdown Spectacular'' in 2006. 1988–present: solo career In 1990, Mannix released his debut studio album, preceded by single "Beautiful People". Wa Wa Nee
Wa Wa Nee was a 1980s Australian funk band. Career Singer/songwriter Paul Gray and guitarist Steve Williams formed the band in 1982. They were joined by Geoff Lundren (bass), Elizabeth Lord (keyboards, backing vocals) and Chris Sweeney (drums) and signed with CBS Records in 1985. Mark Gray, Paul's brother, and Phil Witchett joined the group soon after and their debut single "Stimulation" was released in April 1986. The song peaked at number 2 in Australia. " I Could Make You Love Me" was released in August 1986 and peaked at number 5. In November 1986, Wa Wa Nee released their debut self-titled album which peaked at number 29 in Australia. ''We Will Rock You'' (often abbreviated as ''WWRY'') is a jukebox musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen with a book by Ben Elton.
