Brian Leddin
Brian Leddin (born 1979/1980) is an Irish Green Party politician who served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Limerick City constituency from 2020 to 2024. He was appointed Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action in September 2020, is a member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and Chair of the Green Party's parliamentary party. He is the Green Party spokesperson for Transport, Energy and Climate Action. Political career Brian Leddin joined the Green Party in 2017. When he successfully ran in the 2019 local elections, he became the Green Party's first-ever Limerick City and County Councillor, representing Limerick North Central ward, and his election as a TD to the 33rd Dáil in February 2020 made him Limerick's first-ever Green Party TD. Michael Keyes
Michael John Keyes (21 March 1886 – 8 September 1959) was an Irish Labour Party (Ireland), Labour Party politician and trade unionist. He was born on 21 March 1886 at 41 Blackboy Pike, Limerick city, the second son of Michael Keyes, caretaker, and his wife Hannah (née White). After being educated by the Christian Brothers at Sexton Street, Limerick, he began work as a clerk on the Waterford–Limerick railway line and subsequently served an apprenticeship in carpentry in the workshop of the Great Southern and Western Railway where he remained until 1927. He had also joined the National Union of Railwaymen and was chairman of the Limerick shopmens’ branch (1915–1926).
