Brian Frons
Brian Scott Frons (born June 15, 1956) is an American television executive and the former president of ABC Daytime. He is an adjunct professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and founder of Frons Consulting LLC. Education Frons earned a master’s degree from Syracuse University's S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 1978. CBS and NBC Brian Frons first worked at CBS Daytime from 1978 to 1983. He left CBS in 1983 to join NBC Daytime, where he stayed during the rest of the 1980s as vice president. In 1986, he canceled ''Search for Tomorrow'' which was at the time the longest running soap opera in television, but also the lowest-rated program among the 14 daytime soap operas on the air that year. The Chew
''The Chew'' is an American cooking-themed talk show that aired for seven seasons from September 26, 2011, to June 28, 2018, having replaced the soap opera ''All My Children'', on ABC as part of the network's weekday daytime lineup. The name was inspired by fellow ABC talk show '' The View'', but ''The Chew'' centered on food and lifestyle topics rather than the news of the day. For most of the show's run, it was hosted by chefs Mario Batali, Carla Hall and Michael Symon, wellness expert Daphne Oz, and Clinton Kelly (who served as the show's moderator). Oz left in August 2017, while Batali left in December 2017, and was later officially terminated, amid sexual misconduct allegations from some of his restaurant workers. Jill Farren Phelps (born July 7, 1950) is an American television producer. Lorraine Broderick (born 1948) is an American television soap opera writer. She got her start on ''All My Children'' as a protégée of the show's creator, Agnes Nixon. She went on to serve four different stints as its Head Writer, ultimately earning her four Daytime Emmy awards in that capacity.
