Brian Keith Evans (born September 13, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and other leagues. A 6'8" and 220 lb forward, he played high school basketball at Terre Haute, Indiana South. Evans attended Indiana University from 1991–96, and played for the Hoosiers from 1992–96. Evans was named Big Ten MVP in 1996. He was selected with the 27th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. He played professionally in Italy for Lineltex Imola (1999–2000), Montepaschi Siena (2000–2001) and Viola Reggio Calabria (2001–2002). Brian Clifford Evans (2 December 1942 – 26 February 2003) was a Welsh footballer who played as a winger in the Football League for Swansea City and Hereford United. He made a total of 397 senior appearances for Swansea (excluding Welsh Cup appearances), and was capped 7 times for Wales. Brian Evans was the father of former footballer Richard Evans. Career After being spotted playing for Abergavenny Thursdays, Evans joined Swansea City in July 1963 for a fee of £650. Over the following decade Evans helped the side win the Welsh Cup in 1966 and promotion to Division Three during the 1969–70 season. In August 1973, he was sold to Hereford United for £7,000 as manager Harry Gregg was forced to sell several players before he was allowed to sign new players. Career Evans coached De La Salle College to victory in 2008 in the National First XV Championship. He is currently the principal of Wesley College, Auckland. Brian John Evans (born August 18, 1950) is a Canadian lawyer and former provincial level politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1989 to 1997. During his time in office, he served as a cabinet minister in the Ralph Klein government. Education and law career Born in Edmonton, Alberta, the son of Cecil Road and Margaret Anne (Peters), Evans received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971 and a Bachelor of Law degree in 1975 from the University of Alberta. He articled with the Edmonton law firm of Emery Jamieson until opening Canmore, Alberta's first full-time law office in 1976, the year he was called to the Alberta Bar.
