Brian Edmondson
Brian Christopher Edmondson (born January 29, 1973) is an American former Professional baseball pitcher. He was a third-round selection of the Detroit Tigers in the 1991 amateur draft. Soon after that, the rookie-level Bristol Pirates, Bristol Tigers would welcome him to the Appalachian League and see him go 4–4 over 12 starts, with a 4.57 ERA. He was promoted to the single-A Fayetteville Generals in the South Atlantic League the following season. He would go 10–6 with a 3.37 ERA, starting in 27 of his 28 appearances and racking up a 1.37 WHIP. In 1993, Edmondson joined the Lakeland Flying Tigers, Lakeland Tigers in the high-A Florida State League, and went 8–5, 2.99 over 19 starts with a 1.38 WHIP. Relief Pitcher
In baseball and softball, a relief pitcher or reliever is a pitcher who enters the game after the starting pitcher is removed because of fatigue, ineffectiveness, injury, or ejection, or for other strategic reasons, such as inclement weather delays or pinch hitter substitutions. Relief pitchers are further divided informally into various roles, such as closers, setup men, middle relief pitchers, left/right-handed specialists, and long relievers. Eastern League (1938–present)
The Eastern League (EL) is a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) sports league that has operated under that name since 1938, with the exception of the 2021 season, during which the league operated under the moniker Double-A Northeast. Brevard County Manatees
The Brevard County Manatees were a minor league baseball team of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League from 1994 to 2016. They were based in Viera, Florida, and played their home games at Space Coast Stadium. The team left Brevard County after the 2016 season for Kissimmee, Florida, where they began play in 2017 as the Florida Fire Frogs. The team′s mascot was a manatee. The International League (IL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the United States. Along with the Pacific Coast League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). The league traces its roots to 1884, while the modern IL began in 1912. Following MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues in 2021, it operated as the Triple-A East for one season before switching back to its previous moniker in 2022. The Norfolk Tides are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
