Silversun Pickups is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles that was formed in 2000. The band is composed of Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao, and Joe Lester. The band released their debut EP, '' Pikul'', in July 2005, and their debut album, '' Carnavas'', on July 26, 2006. Their second album, '' Swoon'', was released on April 14, 2009. ''Neck of the Woods'', the band's third album, came out on May 8, 2012. They issued their fourth album, '' Better Nature'', on September 25, 2015. Their fifth album, '' Widow's Weeds'', came out on June 7, 2019. Their sixth and most recent album, '' Physical Thrills'', was released on August 19, 2022. Coachella (officially called the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and sometimes known as Coachella Festival) is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was co-founded by Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen in 1999, and is organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents. The event features musical artists from many genres of music, including rock, pop, indie, hip hop and electronic dance music, as well as art installations and sculptures. ''Neck of the Woods'' is the third studio album by Los Angeles alternative rock band Silversun Pickups. The album was produced by Jacknife Lee (R.E.M., Bloc Party) and was released on May 8, 2012, through independent label Dangerbird Records. Lead single "Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)" was released via the band's official YouTube channel on March 25. On May 2, 2012 MTV Buzzworthy posted a full stream of the album online. The album cover is a photograph by American photographer Todd Hido. Reception Reception for ''Neck of the Woods'' was generally positive. "Lazy Eye" is the first single from Silversun Pickups' debut album '' Carnavas,'' written by lead singer and guitarist Brian Aubert. The band performed the song on the ''Late Show with David Letterman'', ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'', ''Later With Jools Holland'', and ''Last Call with Carson Daly''. The song is a playable track on ''Rock Band 2'' and '' Guitar Hero: World Tour''. An alternate version of the song, with a length of 7:27, was played on XMU before the shorter version was played on FM and other XM channels. Tanya Haden Black (born October 11, 1971) is an American artist, musician, and singer. She is one of the triplet daughters of jazz bassist Charlie Haden and Ellen David. She is married to entertainer Jack Black. Career Born in New York City, she was a member of several bands, including Let's Go Sailing, and is the creator of the Imaginary Bear puppet show. Haden has contributed to recordings of a number of Los Angeles musicians, including vocals and cello on Par Avion's EP, ''Pop Music United''. Her father is the jazz double bassist Charlie Haden. Spaceland was an alternative rock/indie rock nightclub in the Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California, Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, that existed between 1995 and 2011. Silverlake Lounge is a music venue in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Located in the heart of Los Angeles's Silver Lake neighborhood, at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Silver Lake, Silverlake Lounge is one of the most storied venues in the area.
