Brendan Summerhill
Brendan Michael Summerhill (born November 13, 2003) is an American college baseball outfielder for the Arizona Wildcats. Career Summerhill attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, Illinois. During his high school career he hit .441. He committed to the University of Arizona to play college baseball. During the summer prior to his freshman year at Arizona he played for the Traverse City Pit Spitters. Summerhill played in 22 games with 18 starts his freshman year in 2023, hitting .259/.419/.414 with two home runs and six runs batted in (RBI) over 58 at bats. As a sophomore in 2024, he started 58 of 59 games and hit .324/.399/.550 with eight home runs and 59 RBI. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch Batted ball, fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the Baseball, bases. Outfielders normally play behind the six Baseball positions, defensive players located in the infield: the pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, and shortstop. The left fielder and right fielder are named based on their positions relative to the center fielder when looking out from home plate, with the left fielder positioned to the left of the center fielder and the right fielder positioned to the right. Wareham Gatemen
The Wareham Gatemen are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Wareham, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Gatemen play their home games at Clem Spillane Field in Wareham. The Gatemen most recently won the CCBL championship in 2018 when they defeated the Chatham Anglers two games to none to win the best of three championship series. The title was the eighth in team history, including back-to-back championships in 2001–2002. History Pre-modern era The early Cape League era (1923–1939) In 1923, the Cape Cod Baseball League was formed and included four teams: Chatham Anglers, Chatham, Falmouth Commodores, Falmouth, Hyannis Harbor Hawks, Hyannis and Osterville, Massachusetts, Osterville.
