Bren Bataclan
Bren Bataclan is a Filipino-American artist based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cambridge, he is the creator of the street art project ''Project Smile.'' He has left more than 3000 anime-inspired paintings in public spaces for passers-by to take for free if they "promise to smile at random people more often." He has given his paintings away in 80 countries and in every state in the US. Early life and education Bataclan was born in the Philippines and moved to Daly City, California, Daly City, California with his family when he was 12. As a child, he watched the Mecha, Giant Robot television shows ''Voltes V'' and ''Mazinger'' which later inspired his art. Bob Parlin
Bob Parlin is an American educator and LGBTQ+ activist. A high school teacher from 1987 to 2022, he created the first Gay-straight alliance, Gay-Straight Alliance at a public school. Early life and education Parlin was born in Grafton, Massachusetts to Arthur W. Parlin and Deborah (Arnold) Parlin. He attended Grafton High School, where he served as a member of the student council, class president and valedictorian. He was also the editor of the school newspaper and played on its football team. He realized he was gay in middle school. Deeply closeted, he later said that in high school he was intensely lonely and isolated and constantly monitored his speech and behavior to keep from exposing his sexual orientation. The Old Cambridge Baptist Church is a historic American Baptist Churches USA, American Baptist church at 400 Harvard Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The congregation was founded in 1844 when several members of First Baptist Church (Cambridge, Massachusetts), First Baptist Church in Cambridge decided to start a new church. The original meeting house was sold to the Congregationalists and became North Avenue Congregational Church. Bren Bataclan Painting
The Bren gun was a series of light machine guns (LMG) made by Britain in the 1930s and used in various roles until 1992. While best known for its role as the British and Commonwealth forces' primary infantry LMG in World War II, it was also used in the Korean War and saw service throughout the latter half of the 20th century, including the 1982 Falklands War. Although fitted with a bipod, it could also be mounted on a tripod or be vehicle-mounted. The Bren gun was a licensed version of the Czechoslovak ZGB 33 light machine gun which, in turn, was a modified version of the ZB vz. 26, which British Army officials had tested during a firearms service competition in the 1930s.
