Breitling (Warnow)
The Breitling is a roughly 2,500 metre wide '' bodden''-like opening in the lower Warnow just before its mouth on the Baltic Sea in Germany. Its north to south extent is about 1,500 metres. The Breitling is only linked to the Baltic itself through a narrow access channel in Warnemünde, the ''Seekanal'' . For these reasons the Breitling is a perfect natural harbour. On the Baltic side the Breitling is bordered by the Rostock quarter of Hohe Düne. On its southern shore is Rostock Harbour, on the northern shore the port of the German Navy. This is where their corvette squadron and the 7th Fast Patrol Boat squadron is based. In front of Hohe Düne, separated only by the ''Pinnengraben'' ditch, lies the uninhabited island of ''Pagenwerder'' which has been artificially enlarged by dredging. Breitling (Bay Of Wismar)
The Breitling is a narrow strait in the Baltic Sea between the island of Poel and the mainland in the northeast of the district of Nordwestmecklenburg. It links the sheltered part of the Bay of Wismar, beginning south of Poeldamm, with the Salzhaff (into which estuaries of the Zaufe and Gollwitz empty). The Breitling is a very shallow body of water, mostly under one metre in depth. Large parts can even become exposed at low water, whereas at high water it can cover the low-lying causeway known as the Poeldamm. In the south the road link runs along a causeway (the Poeldamm) over a low peninsula to Poel over the Breitling. The waterbody is about five kilometres long and no more than one kilometre wide. Breitling SA () is a Swiss luxury watchmaker founded in 1884 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, by Léon Breitling. The company is known for its precision-made chronometers designed for aviators and is based in Grenchen, Switzerland. The company is currently owned by Partners Group. History Breitling SA was founded in Saint-Imier by Léon Breitling in 1884. When Breitling died in 1914, the business passed to his son, Gaston, and then to his grandson, Willy, in 1935. Willy's children, however, were not interested in pursuing the family business, so the Breitling factory in La Chaux de Fonds closed in December 1978. Willy, already in poor health, died in May 1979. Ernst Schneider bought the Breitling name from the founding family in 1979. Schneider was owner of the Sicura Company in Grenchen. Breitling Jet Team
The Breitling Jet Team was the largest civilian aerobatic display team in Europe. Based in Dijon, France, it flew seven Aero L-39 Albatros jets. The team flew a display lasting 18–20 minutes that included formation flying, opposition passes, solo routines, and synchronized maneuvers. The team performed across Europe and the Middle East, with multiple engagements per year, including international airshows and Breitling corporate events. Breitling withdrew sponsorship in 2019 and the team discontinued performances. History and origins The Breitling Jet Team was established in early 2003 with four L-39s. With the addition of two aircraft in 2004 and three in 2008, the team now has a total of nine jets. The Team's roots go back to 1980.
