Breed 77
Breed 77 (pronounced "Breed Seven-Seven") are a Gibraltarian rock band formed in 1996. Their music blended elements of alternative metal, flamenco, and other Latin influences, creating a distinctive sound. The band gained recognition in the early 2000s, releasing several albums and touring extensively. Known for their energetic live performances and their fusion of diverse musical styles, Breed 77 contributed to the nu metal and alternative rock scenes of the era. The band officially disbanded in 2015. Origin Breed 77 comes from the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. Old Gibraltarian school friends Paul Isola, Danny Felice, and Stuart Cavilla met up in London and became informally known as the ''Gibraltarian Mafia''. When, in late April 1996, this circle of friends formed a band, they wanted a name to reflect their joint origins and called themselves simply Breed. This album was produced by Ron Saint-Germain (The Saint) noted for his work with Soundgarden, Tool, Creed and Bad Brains. It was slated for release July 3, 2006, but was eventually released on September 11, 2006. Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative metal bands are often characterized by heavily Downtuned guitar, downtuned, mid-paced guitar riffs, a mixture of accessible melodic vocals and Screaming (music), harsh vocals and sometimes sounds that are unconventional within other heavy metal styles. Three singles were released from this album, which were "La Última Hora", "The River" and "World's on Fire". The album features ten original songs and three remastered songs from their previous release. ''Cultura'' reached number 61 on the UK albums chart. Release The song "La Última Hora" was released on 20 November 2003: first as a CD EP in a card slip-case, and later released as a CD single and 7" Vinyl. The second single, "The River", was released as a two-part CD and DVD set and on 7" vinyl. It reached number 39 on UK Top 40. The music video for this single was fully directed by Paul Isola.
