Braxton Hoyett
Braxton Hoyett (born February 5, 1996) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Mississippi State Bulldogs. Professional career Tennessee Titans Hoyett was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. He was waived on August 30, 2019 during final roster cuts. Kansas City Chiefs Hoyett was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs to their practice squad on October 1, 2019. He remained on practice squad for the rest of the season and as the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers. Hoyett re-signed with the Chiefs on February 5, 2020. He was waived on July 29, 2020, but re-signed on August 8. He was waived during final roster cuts on September 5, 2020, but was signed to the team's practice squad the next day. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside.
