Brass Against
Brass Against is a musical collective that creates brass-inflected cover versions of rock songs. The collective chooses politically charged songs and other socially conscious music in order to raise awareness of various issues and to encourage activism and social change. Brass Against was founded by guitarist Brad Hammonds. Hammonds was galvanized by the rise of Donald Trump. Hammonds later said he felt "we needed Rage Against the Machine more than ever" in the run-up to the 2016 United States presidential election "and wanted to do something besides simply expressing views on social media." Hammonds and saxophonist Andy Gutauskas gathered some friends who recorded their first video, a cover of "Bombtrack" released in September 2017. Baritone Sax
The baritone saxophone is a member of the saxophone family of instruments, larger (and lower-pitched) than the tenor saxophone, but smaller (and higher-pitched) than the bass. Daytona International Speedway
Daytona International Speedway is a race track in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. Welcome to Rockville is a four-day hard rock and heavy metal music festival. The festival is held annually at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. History The first Welcome to Rockville was a one-day event held on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011, at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The festival ran all day Sunday, beginning around 11:00 am and ending after 10:00 pm due to city noise ordinances. It was hosted by Juliya Chernetsky and headlined by Godsmack. A second festival was held on Sunday, April 29, 2012, which featured Jacksonville, Florida natives Shinedown to headline the festival along with Korn. "Bombtrack" is a song by American rock band Rage Against the Machine. It is the opening track on their self-titled debut album. Like most of Rage Against the Machine's songs, the song's lyrics discuss social inequality, proclaiming that "landlords and power whores" were going to "burn". The riffs were composed by Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford. The song is one of three on the album in the key of F along with " Know Your Enemy" and "Fistful of Steel". A music video was released, depicting support for the Peruvian Maoist revolutionary organization, Sendero Luminoso and its leader Abimael Guzman.
