Brasiliense Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as simply Brasiliense, is a Brazilian professional club based in Taguatinga, Distrito Federal. Founded in 2000, it competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, the fourth tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Brasiliense, the top flight of the Distrito Federal state football league. Brasiliense's most important titles are eleven state titles, a Serie B title, and a Serie C title. History The club was founded on 1 August 2000 with the involvement of the CNPJ of Atlântida Esporte Clube by Luís Estêvão. Brasiliense managed to establish records in the Federal District and in Brazil during its short history. The club became the youngest finalist of a Copa do Brasil in its first participation, in 2002. 2020 Copa Verde
The 2020 Copa Verde was the seventh edition of the football competition held in Brazil. Featuring 24 clubs, Acre, Amazonas, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul and Pará have two vacancies; Amapá, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Rondônia, Roraima and Tocantins with one each. The others six berths was set according to CBF ranking. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was rescheduled, starting only on 20 January 2021 and ending on 24 February 2021. In the finals, Brasiliense defeated Remo 5–4 on penalties after tied 3–3 on aggregate to win their first title and a place in the third round of the 2021 Copa do Brasil. The Copa Verde () is an annual regional knockout football competition in Brazil that started in 2014, and played by 24 teams from the North and Central-West regions, plus Espírito Santo (Espírito Santo state was included because they competed in the old Copa Centro Oeste). Initially, the champion of the tournament gained a place in the next year's Copa Sudamericana. With the changes implemented by CONMEBOL in 2016 causes a competition no longer qualify in Copa Sudamericana from edition. The champion will now have a spot in the third round of the Copa do Brasil of the following year. The football (soccer) Campeonato Brasileiro Série B 2004, the second level of Brazilian National League, was played from April 23 to December 11, 2004. The competition had 24 clubs and two of them were promoted to Série A and six were relegated to Série C. In the first round, each team played against each other, much like what happens in Série A. However, in contrast to Série A, each team played against the other only once. Therefore, each team played 23 games, 12 home and 11 away (or the opposite).
