Branislav Fábry
Branislav Fábry (born January 15, 1985) is a Slovakia, Slovak professional ice hockey player who currently plays for HC Nové Zámky in the Slovak Extraliga (Slovak). He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round, 65th overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, however never pursued a North American career. He has formerly played with HC Slovan Bratislava in the Slovak Extraliga. and HC Znojemští Orli in the past. Before enduring a stint with KLH Chomutov in the First National Hockey League. His father was also a hockey player, and played the Junior Extraliga of ice hockey in Czechoslovakia. The TIPOS Slovenská hokejová liga (TIPOS Slovak Hockey League) is a professional ice hockey league composed of twelve teams in Slovakia. It is the second highest ice hockey league in Slovakia. Game Every regular season game has three 20-minute periods, with an intermission of a maximum of 18 minutes between periods. If the game is tied following the 60-minute regulation time, a five-minute three-on-three sudden death overtime period is played. If a game still is tied after the overtime period, a shootout decides the game. In a shootout, the team that scores the most penalty shots out of five attempts wins the game. If the game is still tied after the first five penalty-shot rounds, the shootout continues round by round, until one team scores while the other team fails to score. HK Trnava
HK Trnava is an ice hockey team based in Trnava, Slovakia. It plays in the Slovak 1. Liga, the country's second division of ice hockey. The club was founded in 1957. History Ice hockey is played in Trnava since 1923 when the first friendly game between ŠK Trnava and 1.ČsŠK Bratislava was played at the nature rink in Eagle Garden. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. Penalties are called and enforced by the referee, or in some cases, the linesman. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short-handed as opposed to full strength. When the opposing team is said to be on a '' power play'', they will have one more player on the ice than the short-handed team. The short-handed team is said to be "on the penalty kill" until the penalty expires and the penalized player returns to play. While standards vary somewhat between leagues, most leagues recognize several common varieties of penalties, as well as common infractions.
