Braeden Ogle
Braeden Ogle (born July 30, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. Amateur career Ogle attended Jensen Beach High School in Jensen Beach, Florida. As a senior in 2016, he went 5–1 with a 1.40 ERA and 59 strikeouts over 35 innings. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fourth round with the 135th overall selection of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. He signed for $800,000, forgoing his college commitment to the University of Florida. Professional career Pittsburgh Pirates Ogle made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Pirates, going 0–2 with a 2.60 ERA over innings. In 2017, he played with the Bristol Pirates of the Rookie-level Appalachian League in which he pitched to a 2–3 record and a 3.14 ERA over 43 innings before undergoing knee surgery, ending his season prematurely. The Bradenton Marauders are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They are located in Bradenton, Florida, and play their home games at LECOM Park, which also serves as the Pirates' spring training facility. In baseball, a save ( SV or S) is credited to a pitcher who finishes a game for the winning team under certain circumstances. A save can be earned by entering a game in which his team is leading by three or fewer runs and finishing the game by pitching at least one inning without losing the lead; entering the game with the tying run in the on-deck circle, at the plate or on the bases and finishing the game; or by pitching at least three innings in relief and finishing the game regardless of how many runs your team was winning by when entering the game. The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) is a professional independent baseball league in the United States. The Altoona Curve are a Minor League Baseball team based in Altoona, Pennsylvania, named after nearby Horseshoe Curve (but also alluding to the curveball, a type of pitch). The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. They are located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and they are named in reference to pig iron, used in the manufacturing of steel, for which the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania is well known. Along with the Pacific Coast League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB).
