Brad Rutherford
Brad Rutherford is a Canadian politician elected in the 2019 Alberta general election to represent the electoral district of Leduc-Beaumont in the 30th Alberta Legislature. Before Politics Prior to his election to the Legislative Assembly, Rutherford served for ten years a Constable on the Edmonton Police Service. In addition to being a constable, he took on roles as temporary acting sergeant and temporary acting detective for the southwest division and the Economic Crime Section. He also spent two years in the Canadian Armed Forces reserves. Political career On June 3, 2019, Premier Kenney appointed Rutherford as the Government of Alberta's liaison to the Canadian Armed Forces. Shaye Anderson
Shaye Quinn Anderson (born March 21, 1975) is a Canadian politician who was elected in the 2015 Alberta general election to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the electoral district of Leduc-Beaumont. A New Democrat, Anderson defeated longtime MLA George Rogers in an election that saw the NDP win a majority government, the first government change the province had seen since 1971. Beaumont ( ) is a city adjacent to Leduc County within the Edmonton Metropolitan Region of Alberta, Canada. It is at the intersection of Highway 625 and Highway 814, adjacent to the City of Edmonton and northeast of the City of Leduc. The 2019 Alberta general election was held on April 16, 2019, to elect 87 members to the 30th Alberta Legislature. In its first general election contest, the Jason Kenney-led United Conservative Party (UCP) won 54.88% of the popular vote and 63 seats, defeating incumbent Premier Rachel Notley. The governing Alberta New Democratic Party (NDP) were reduced to 24 seats and formed the Official Opposition. The United Conservative Party was formed in 2017 from a merger of the Progressive Conservative Party and the Wildrose Party after the NDP's victory in the 2015 election ended nearly 44 years of Progressive Conservative rule.
