Brad Robbins (basketball)
Bradley Dean Robbins (born 12 January 1985) is an Australian basketball coach and former player who is most known for his time spent in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Perth Wildcats. He currently serves as the head coach of the Warwick Senators women's team in the NBL1 West. Early life and career Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Robbins played his junior basketball at Dandenong. He represented Victoria in national competitions in Under 14s in 1998, Under 16s in 2000 and Under 18s in 2001 and 2002. In 2002, he represented Australia in junior men's teams and was then a member of the World Championship winning Australian Emus Under 19 team in 2003. Professional career NBL Robbins made his debut in the National Basketball League (NBL) with the Victoria Giants during the 2003–04 season. He scored 11 points in 13 games. NBL1 West
NBL1 West, formerly the State Basketball League (SBL), is a semi-professional basketball league in Western Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2020, Basketball Western Australia partnered with the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL) to bring NBL1 to Western Australia. NBL1 replaced the former SBL to create more professional pathways and opportunities for males and females playing basketball in Western Australia. As a result, the SBL became the west conference of NBL1. History The State Basketball League originated in 1972 as the District Competition. 2011 State Basketball League Season
The 2011 State Basketball League season was the 23rd season of the State Basketball League (SBL). The regular season began on Friday 18 March and ended on Saturday 23 July. The finals began on Friday 29 July and concluded with the women's grand final on Friday 26 August and the men's grand final on Saturday 27 August. Pre-season The 2011 SBL Pre-Season Blitz was held at the WA Basketball Centre between Friday 4 March and Sunday 6 March. Regular season The regular season began on Friday 18 March and ended on Saturday 23 July after 19 rounds of competition.
