Brad Agoos
Brad Agoos is an American former soccer player and the current head coach of USL League Two side Black Rock. Playing career After leaving the University of Virginia, where he had been named ACC Men's Soccer Tournament MVP in 1992, Agoos would embark on a journeyman career which took him to Germany, Costa Rica and the Netherlands. He joined FC 08 Homburg in 1993, before returning to the United States with Major League Soccer side D.C. United. After playing one season in the Continental Indoor Soccer League with Carolina Vipers in 1994, Agoos played three consecutive seasons in the A-League with Charlotte Eagles, Charleston Battery and Worcester Wildfire. In 1997, Agoos moved to Costa Rica to join Puntarenas. He also played for Santa Bárbara from 1997 to 1998. Black Rock FC is an American soccer club that plays in USL League Two. The team's administrative base is in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. History The club was established in 2013 to develop Berkshire County players and prep school athletes of all ages from grassroots programs through its U19 Academy team. A strategic alliance was forged in 2017 with GPS Stateline and Soccer Domain Academy. For its first two seasons in USL League Two, home matches were played at the Hotchkiss School fields in Lakeville, Connecticut. 1997 USISL A-League
The 1997 USISL A-League was an American Division II league run by the United Systems of Independent Soccer Leagues during the summer of 1997. Overview At the end of the 1996 A-League season, the U.S. second division A-League collapsed. Six of the seven teams in the A-League then joined the USISL which had three leagues in 1996, beginning with the third division USISL Select League. With the collapse of the U.S. second division and the transfer of most of its teams to the USISL, the USISL reorganized its divisions to include the new teams. Jeff Agoos
Jeffrey Alan Agoos (born May 2, 1968) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a defender. He is one of the all-time appearance leaders for the United States national team. Agoos served as the Sporting Director for the New York Red Bulls, and currently is the Vice President of Competition for Major League Soccer. Agoos won a record five MLS championships: three with D.C. United, and two with the San Jose Earthquakes. He also won the 1996 U.S. Open Cup, and was the 2001 MLS Defender of the Year. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2009. The Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As of the upcoming 2022 season, the team is a member of the NCAA Division I American Athletic Conference (The American). The Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL) was a professional indoor soccer league that played from 1993 to 1997. In American English, a journeyman or journeywoman is an athlete who is technically competent but unable to excel. The term is used elsewhere (such as in British and Australian contexts) to refer to a professional sportsman who plays for numerous clubs during his career.
