Amber "Holly" Boykins (born April 4, 1969) is an American politician. She represented a portion of North St. Louis in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Mississippi. Boykin, Georgia
Boykin is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Miller County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 151. History The community most likely was named after Guilford A. Boyken, Sr., an early settler. A post office called Boykin was established in 1897 and remained in operation until 1932. The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place as the "Town of Boykin" in 1903. The town's charter was dissolved in 1995. Geography Boykin is located along U.S. Route 27 in southern Miller County, southeast of Colquitt, the county seat, and northwest of Bainbridge. Boykin, also known as Gee's Bend, is an African American majority community and census-designated place in a large bend of the Alabama River in Wilcox County, Alabama. As of the 2020 census, its population was 208. The Boykin Post Office was established in the community in 1949 and remains active, servicing the 36723 ZIP code. Gee's Bend was named for Joseph Gee, an early large land owner from Halifax County, North Carolina who settled here in 1816. Ronald Boykins (December 17, 1935 – April 20, 1980) was a jazz bassist and is best known for his work with pianist/bandleader Sun Ra, although he had played with such disparate musicians as Muddy Waters, Johnny Griffin, and Jimmy Witherspoon prior to joining Sun Ra's Arkestra. Biography Like his fellow Sun Ra bandmates, John Gilmore and Pat Patrick, Boykins attended Chicago's DuSable High School and studied under its famed music teacher "Captain" Walter Dyett. He also studied with Ernie Shepard, who would later work with Duke Ellington. Boykins joined the Arkestra in 1958, during the Chicago period, and travelled with them to Canada and then to New York City. Brandon Boykin (born July 13, 1990) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at Georgia and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens throughout his career.
