Boy From Heaven
''Boy from Heaven'' (), released in most English-speaking countries as ''Cairo Conspiracy'', is a 2022 Arabic-language political thriller film directed by Swedish filmmaker Tarik Saleh. The film is a co-production between Sweden, France and Finland. It had its world premiere on 20 May 2022 at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, where it was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or. Saleh was awarded Best Screenplay, and the film received the François Chalais Prize at Cannes. It was selected as the Swedish entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards but was not nominated. Plot Adam, the son of a fisherman from a village near El Manzala, accepts an offer to study at the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. Tarik Saleh
Tarik Saleh (; born 28 January 1972) is a Swedish television producer, animator, publisher, journalist, and film director. He was born in Stockholm to a Swedish mother and an Egyptian father. He is most known for his Cairo-trilogy starring Fares Fares: '' The Nile Hilton Incident'' (2017), ''Boy from Heaven'' (2022) and ''Eagles of the Republic'' (2025). Career In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was one of Sweden's most prominent graffiti artists, including co-creating '' Fascinate''. He has also worked as a TV host for Sveriges Television and is one of the founders of production company Atmo. Saleh first feature film, the Englis-language animated film '' Metropia'' (2009), had its world premiere at the 66th Venice International Film Festival. El Manzala
El Manzala () is a town and region ('' markaz'') in Egypt. Situated in the Dakahlia Governorate, it lies on the Lake Manzala coast in the northeastern part of the country. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review aggregator, review-aggregation website for film and television. The Süleymaniye Mosque (, ) is an Ottoman imperial mosque located on the Seven hills of Istanbul, Third Hill of Istanbul, Turkey. The mosque was commissioned by Suleiman the Magnificent () and designed by the imperial architect Mimar Sinan.
