''Boundaries'' (french: Pays) is a Canadian drama film, directed by Chloé Robichaud and premiering at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival. The film's central characters are Emily Price (Emily VanCamp), Danielle Richard (Macha Grenon) and Félixe Nasser-Villeray ( Nathalie Doummar). Félixe is a newly elected Canadian Member of Parliament who is part of a delegation to the small island nation of Besco to negotiate Canadian investment in the struggling nation's mining industry. Danielle is the country's president, and Emily is a mediator involved in the investment talks. Chloé Robichaud
Chloé Robichaud (born January 31, 1988) is a Canadian director best known for her debut film '' Sarah Prefers to Run''. The film premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. Early life and education Robichaud was born in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. She graduated from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at Concordia University in 2010. Career Robichaud made her feature film debut with '' Sarah Prefers to Run''. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Robichaud launched the webseries '' Féminin/Féminin'' in 2014, about a group of six Montrealer lesbians dealing with love and growing up in the city. The series ran for an initial eight episodes. Alexandre Landry (born December 20, 1985) is a Canadian film, television and stage actor. He is best known for his role in the 2013 film '' Gabrielle'', for which he garnered a Canadian Screen Award nomination as Best Supporting Actor at the 2nd Canadian Screen Awards. Biography Born in Trois-Rivières, Landry grew up in Saint-Étienne-des-Grès, a rural village in the Mauricie region of Quebec. His father is a lumberjack and a truck driver; his mother runs a daycare centre. In 2009, he moved to Montreal to obtain his diploma from the National Theater School of Canada. To pay for his studies and apartment in Montreal, he enlisted in the Army, and then transitioned to a reservist in the Navy. Before his film career, he worked in theatre.
