Boubacar Boris Diop (born 26 October 1946) is a Senegalese novelist, journalist and screenwriter. His best known work, ''Murambi, le livre des ossements'' (translated into English as ''Murambi: The Book of Bones''), is the fictional account of a notorious massacre during the Rwandan genocide of 1994. He is also the founder of '' Sol'', an independent newspaper in Senegal, and the author of many books, political works, plays and screenplays. ''Doomi Golo'' (2003) is one of the only novels ever written in Wolof; it deals with the life of a Senegalese Wolof family. The book was published by Papyrus Afrique, Dakar. Boubacar Bernard Kamara (born 23 November 1999) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for club Aston Villa and the France national team. Mainly a defensive midfielder, he can also play as a centre-back. Club career Marseille In September 2005, "Bouba", aged 5, entered the Olympique de Marseille Academy where he progressed through all the categories. Boubacar Traoré (musician)
Boubacar Traoré (born 1942 in Kayes, Mali) is a Malian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Early fame Traoré first came to prominence in the early 1960s. He had taught himself to play guitar and developed a unique style that blended American blues music, Arab music, and pentatonic structures found in West Africa's Mande cultural region. He was a superstar in Mali and a symbol of the newly independent country (see History of Mali). His songs were immensely popular and he enjoyed regular radio play. However, he made no recordings, and since there were no royalties paid to musicians, he was very poor. Decline and revival In 1968, when Moussa Traoré overthrew Malian president Modibo Keïta, Boubacar Traoré, widely seen as an artist associated with the previous regime, disappeared from the airwaves. Boubacar Sanogo (born 17 December 1982) is an Ivorian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Dimbokro in the Ivory Coast, Sanogo started his career in Tunisia and then went to Al-Ain FC in the UAE League, where he became well known for winning the AFC Champions League and being a top goalscorer in the UAE League. Boubacar "Copa" Barry (born 30 December 1979) is an Ivorian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Having begun his career at ASEC Mimosas, he moved to France in 2001, where he played for Rennes' reserve team. In 2003, he joined Belgian side Beveren where he stayed four years. He then spent ten years at K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen amassing 239 league appearances. At international level, he played for the Ivory Coast national team before his retirement from international football in March 2015, but continued to play for his club, Lokeren. Boubacar Mansaly (born 4 February 1988) is a Senegalese former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Mansaly was born on 4 February 1988 in Guédiawaye, Senegal, starting to play junior level football in 2005 at ASC Yeggo. In January 2006 he went to French side, Saint-Étienne where he would spend five seasons, playing mostly for the satellite team in the lower leagues. Boubacar Diarra (born 18 April 1994) is a Malian footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Horoya AC. Club career Diarra's career began in Mali with AS Revenant and AS Korofina, he then left his homeland to go to the DR Congo to join Linafoot team TP Mazembe. Boubacar Djeedy Kébé (born 10 May 1987) is a retired Burkinabé-Malian professional footballer. Club career Kébé was born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
