Bosnian Basketball Championship
The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year. Bosnia and Herzegovina, sometimes known as Bosnia-Herzegovina and informally as Bosnia, is a country in Southeast Europe. OKK Borac
Košarkaški klub Borac ( sr-cyr, Кошаркашки клуб Бopaц), commonly referred to as Borac Banja Luka, is a men's professional basketball club based in Banja Luka, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are currently competing in the Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the ABA League Second Division. Borac also has a reserve team, called Borac Mako Print, that plays in the 3rd-tier Second League of Republika Srpska – Western Division. This club is not a part of the Borac Banja Luka Sports Society, like SKK Borac 1947. History In 2006, the club changed its name to Borac Nektar after SKK Banjalučka pivara got relegated from Bosnian Championship and folded. Yugoslav First Federal Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in the former country of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945, and folded in 1992 (1991–92 YUBA League, 1991–92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. The 2023–24 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is 23rd season of this championship, with 13 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. KK Igokea is the defending champion. Competition format Twelve of thirteen teams joined the regular season, playing with as double round-robin tournament. The first five teams will join Liga 6 along with KK Igokea. The 2020–21 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the 20th season of this championship, with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. Igokea was the defending champion. Competition format Thirteen of fourteen teams joined the regular season, played with as double round-robin tournament. At the end of regular season the last three teams would be relegated, while the first five teams would join "Liga 6" along with KK Igokea. First four teams in "Liga 6" would compete in playoff tournament, with one-leg (semifinals, third place and final) matches. In mid-season, however, it was decided that only the last team will be relegated. Also, playoff semifinal and final will be played in best of three and best of five format, respectively. The 2019–20 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the 19th season of this championship, with 12 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. HKK Široki were the defending champion. On 13 March 2020, season was ended prematurely because of the coronavirus pandemic, naming Igokea as new champion. HKK Zrinjski Mostar
HKK Zrinjski Mostar (, ) is a basketball team from the city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club plays in the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. History The club is part of the Zrinjski Mostar sport society. Since the national championship was formed in 1997, it has spent all but two seasons in the top league: the inaugural season and the 2003–04 season. For the 2003–04 season, Zrinjski was relegated to the regional Croatian league, but bounced back the following year to return to the top level of play. Since its return to the national championship it has placed in the top half of the table as well as reaching the semifinals in the national cup twice. The club's current coach is Zoran Glomazić.
