Borneo Hornbills is an Indonesian professional basketball team currently playing in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) based in the city of Bogor, West Java. It was formerly known as ''Bumi Borneo Pontianak'' and were playing in Pontianak for the first seasons of the club's existence before its move to Bogor after the 2023 IBL Indonesia, 2023 IBL season. The Indonesian Basketball League (IBL; id, Liga Bola Basket Indonesia) is the preeminent men's professional basketball league in Indonesia, founded by Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) in 2003. From 2010 to 2015 it was known as the National Basketball League (NBL) and organised by DBL Indonesia. 2023 IBL Indonesia
The 2023 Indonesian Basketball League (or IBL Tokopedia for sponsorship reasons) is the eighth season of Indonesian top domestic basketball league since the re-branding by Starting5. This season marked the 20th Anniversary of the IBL indonesia since its establishment in 2003. From 2023, the divisions were abolished and therefore, each team has two matches against each other with total of 30 games per team (240 season games). The playoff teams will be selected from top 8 and the format is home and away. Cameron Ridley
Cameron DeVon Ridley (born October 27, 1993) is an American professional basketball player who played for Bumi Borneo Pontianak of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). Career Ridley was a former McDonald's All-American. In his four-year career at Texas, he averaged 8.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Ridley averaged 11.1 points, a team-high 8.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game as a senior. He played in 13 games before fracturing his foot and missing all of conference play. He played for the Chicago Bulls in NBA Summer League. In April 2021, Ridley signed with GNBC from Madagascar ahead of the 2021 BAL season. Devondrick Walker (born July 11, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Borneo Hornbills of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He played three years of college basketball for the Texas A&M–Commerce Lions between 2011 and 2014 before playing the first three seasons of his professional career in the NBA Development League.
