Borisovsky Khotilovo
Borisovsky Khotilovo (also given as Borisovskiy, Borisovsky, and Khatilovo) is an air base in Tver Oblast, Russia located 24 km south of the town of Bologoye. It is an interceptor base with three groups of fan revetments and is home to 790 IAP (790th Fighter Aviation Regiment) flying 38 Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25 aircraft during the Cold War and Mikoyan MiG-31s through the 1990s. History Borisovsky's interceptor regiment initially operated the Sukhoi Su-9 (NATO:Fishpot) in the 1960s. Bologoye, Tver Oblast
Bologoye () is a types of inhabited localities in Russia, town and the administrative center of Bologovsky District in Tver Oblast, Russia, as well as a major railway hub. It is located approximately halfway between Moscow and Saint Petersburg, St. Petersburg on the railway route connecting the two cities. Population: Etymology The name of the town derives from the name of nearby Lake Bologoye. History The first mention of Bologoye in historic records dates back to 1495, which is considered its year of foundation. In the course of the administrative divisions of Russia in 1708–1710, administrative reform carried out in 1708 by Peter the Great, Bologoye was included into the Ingermanland Governorate (known since 1710 as the Saint Petersburg Governorate, St. Petersburg Governorate).
