Boris Fiallos
Boris Santiago Fiallos Tirado (born 16 March 1974) is an Ecuadorian football manager and former player who played as a defender. Playing career Born in Ambato, Fiallos played for hometown side Macará in the Serie A, suffering relegation in 2002. In the following year, he moved to of the Segunda Categoría, winning the title with the club in 2004. He was forced to retire in 2005 due to a knee injury. Managerial career After retiring, Fiallos returned to Macará to become a manager of the youth categories. On 30 June 2010, he became an interim manager of the first team, after the dismissal of Carlos Sevilla. Fiallos' spell in charge of Macará lasted one match (a 3–1 loss to LDU Quito) before the appointment of Víctor Riggio as manager. He later became a youth coach at cross-town rivals Técnico Universitario, being also an interim manager of the main squad in June 2012. Ambato, Ecuador
Ambato (; full form, San Juan de Ambato; Quechuan languages, Quechua: Ampatu Llaqta) is a city located in the central Andes, Andean valley of Ecuador. Lying on the banks of the Ambato River (Ecuador), Ambato River, the city also sits beneath several tall mountains. It is the capital city of the Tungurahua Province, situated at an elevation of 2,577 meters above sea level. It is variously nicknamed "City of Flowers and Fruits", "Land of the Three Juans", and "Garden of Ecuador." Ambato's inhabitants are called Ambateños or Guaytambos (after a type of native peach that the valley is famous for producing). The current mayor of Ambato is Diana Caiza. The city has been fully or partially destroyed by earthquakes several times in its history, most recently on 1949 Ambato earthquake, August 5, 1949, when the city and its cathedral were almost completely devastated. Ángeles Paúl Vélez Ordoñez (born 12 May 1971) is an Ecuadorian football manager and former player who played as a defender. Playing career Born in Cuenca, Vélez played only in local sides during his entire career. He represented Cruz del Vado, LDU Cuenca and Deportivo Cuenca, and retired in 1994, aged just 23. Managerial career After retiring, Vélez returned to Deportivo Cuenca in 1998, to work as an assistant manager of the under-15 and later the under-20 squads. He was an assistant of the main squad in 2000, and subsequently worked as an under-16 and under-18 manager from 2001 to 2003. Vélez was in charge of the under-17s in 2004, of the under-18s in 2005 and of the under-19s in 2006. The Primera Categoría Serie B, shortened to Serie B or Primera B, is a professional football league in Ecuador. It is in the second tier of the Ecuadorian football league system.
