Boris Alexandrov
Boris Viktorovich Alexandrov (; November 13, 1955 - July 31, 2002) was a Soviet Union, Soviet and Kazakhstan, Kazakh professional ice hockey player. Alexandrov competed for Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk and HC CSKA Moscow, CSKA Moscow and also HC Spartak Moscow, Spartak Moscow. He was Soviet_Championship_League#Soviet_League_Champions, Soviet league champion in 1974–75 Soviet League season, 1975, 1976–77 Soviet League season, 1977 and 1977–78 Soviet League season, 1978, additionally he won a gold medal at the Ice hockey at the 1976 Winter Olympics, 1976 Winter Olympic Games. He was posthumously inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2019. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. 1975 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 1975 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships were between December 26, 1974, and January 5, 1975, in several venues in Winnipeg and Brandon in Canada and in Minneapolis, Bloomington, and Fargo in the United States. The Soviet team won the tournament with a perfect 5–0 record. This was the second edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, but the results are not included in official IIHF records. Canada was represented by an all-star team from just the Western Canada Hockey League, while the other five nations were represented by teams of all their top under-20 players. IIHF World Junior Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), sometimes referred to as World Juniors, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. It is traditionally held in late December, ending in early January (beginning from Boxing Day to January 5). The tournament usually attracts the top hockey players in this age category. The main tournament features the top ten ranked hockey nations in the world, comprising the 'Top Division', from which a world champion is crowned. There are also three lower pools—Divisions I, II and III—that each play separate tournaments playing for the right to be promoted to a higher pool, or face relegation to a lower pool. IIHF Hall Of Fame
The IIHF Hall of Fame is a hall of fame operated by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). It was founded in 1997, and has resided at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto since 1998. Prior to 1997, the IIHF housed exhibits at the International Hockey Hall of Fame in Kingston, Ontario. Inductions are made annually at the medal presentation day of the Ice Hockey World Championships. As of 2025, the IIHF has inducted 261 members. Soviet Championship League
The Soviet Hockey Championship () was the highest level ice hockey league in the Soviet Union, running from 1946 to 1992. Before the 1940s the game of ice hockey was not cultivated in Russia, instead the more popular form of hockey was bandy. Following the History of the Soviet Union (1985-1991), dissolution of the USSR, the league was temporarily renamed the CIS Championship in 1992. Torpedo Hockey Club (, ''«Torpedo» hokkeı klýby''; ), commonly referred to as Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk, formerly known as Kazzinc-Torpedo (1999–2015), is a professional ice hockey team based in Oskemen, Kazakhstan.
