Borgen is a suburb located in the municipality of Asker (municipality), Asker, Norway. Johan Borgen
Johan Collett Müller Borgen (28 April 1902 – 16 October 1979) was a Norwegian writer, journalist and critic. His best-known work is the novel ''Lillelord'' for which he was awarded the Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature in 1955. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1966. Biography He was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of Poul Holst Borgen (1867–1941) and Andrea Elfrida Bommen (1868–1958). He was raised in the borough of Frogner as the youngest of four sons in the family of a successful attorney. He attended private schools; first at Frøenene Platous Forskole, then at Frogner Skole. William Borgen (born December 19, 1996) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Early career Borgen attended Moorhead High School in Minnesota, playing as captain of the team. Peder Johan Borgen (26 January 1928 – 8 April 2023) was a Norwegian Methodist minister, had a Doctorate in Theology, and was a professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Ole Edvard Borgen
Ole Edvard Borgen (8 November 1925 – 24 March 2009) was a Norwegian theologian and Methodist bishop. He was born in Lillestrøm as a son of meat merchant Omar Emil Borgen (1900–1985) and Harda Pytte (1901–1989), and older brother of Peder Borgen. In June 1949 he married Martha Olava Rygge (1928–2003). He attended Tomb Agricultural School from 1944 to 1946, and also completed an apprenticeship in sausage making, intent to take over his father's store and the family farm. He was elected to Lillestrøm city council, serving from 1950 to 1956. Besides that, the entire family adhered to the Methodist creed, and in 1956 Borgen travelled to the United States to study different subjects.
