''Boomtown'' is the second studio album by American country music artist Toby Keith. It was released on September 27, 1994, by Mercury Records. The album produced four hit singles for Keith on the U.S. ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart between 1994 and 1995 with "Who's That Man" (#1), "Upstairs Downtown" (#10), "You Ain't Much Fun" (#2) and "Big Ol' Truck" (#15). The album was also certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA for U.S. sales of one million copies. Toby Keith
Toby Keith Covel (July 8, 1961 – February 5, 2024) was an American country music singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and businessman. Keith released his chart-topping debut single, "Should've Been a Cowboy", in 1993. During the 1990s, Keith released his first four studio albums, each of which earned Music recording certification, gold or higher certification. Keith's breakthrough single, "How Do You Like Me Now?! (song), How Do You Like Me Now?!", was the title track to his 1999 album ''How Do You Like Me Now?!'' The single was the number one country song of 2000. Keith's next three albums were certified 4× Platinum, and each album produced three number one singles. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Dobro () is an American brand of resonator guitars owned by Gibson and manufactured by its subsidiary Epiphone. The term "dobro" is also used as a generic term for any wood-bodied, single-cone resonator guitar. The Dobro was originally a guitar manufacturing company founded by the Dopyera brothers as the Dobro Manufacturing Company. A steel guitar () is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar).
