Boombox Cartel
Boombox Cartel is a Los Angeles-based DJ act consisting of producer Americo Garcia (of Laredo, Texas) and writing partner, Jorge Medina (of Monterrey, Mexico). History Americo Garcia and writing partner Jorge Medina met while in high school in Monterrey, Mexico. After graduating the two moved to St. Paul, Minnesota to study audio engineering and music production at the now-defunct McNally Smith College of Music. After a brief stint in Minnesota they relocated to Los Angeles, California to further pursue their musical careers. Having just arrived in LA, inspired by the cities vast diversity and multicultural influences Americo and Jorge self-released their breakout track, “B2U” featuring Ian Everson in 2015. The track immediately garnered the attention of notable artists like Skrillex, Diplo, and Martin Garrix. Flosstradamus is the stage name of American DJ and musician Curt Cameruci. From 2007 until 2016, Flosstradamus consisted of Cameruci and Josh Young from Chicago. The duo announced they would both be pursuing solo careers, with Cameruci to continue using Flosstradamus as a stage name. Cameruci is also known as Autobot and Young is also known as J2K and YehMe2. Jono Schnell, known professionally by his stage name Quix (stylised in all caps), is a New Zealand DJ and electronic music producer. Since 2020, he has also been a part of the electronic music duo known as Tiger Drool, alongside fellow record producer, Robert Vincent Hughes. Quix was born and raised in Auckland and grew up in a Christian home. His considers himself Christian and currently goes to the Hillsong Church along with his wife. Nicholas Weiller, better known by his stage name Bro Safari, also known as Knick, is an American moombahton, trap, and dubstep producer. Biography Weiller was born in Rome, Italy, into a family with three brothers and one sister. The entire family moved back to Atlanta, Georgia. While growing up in Atlanta, he took to playing several instruments, including guitar, bass, and drums. Although an avid punk rock fan, he gained a deep interest in electronic music in college and began producing Drum N' Bass around 1999.
