Bon-y-maen (sometimes spelt ''Bonymaen''; ) is a community in Swansea, Wales located about north east of Swansea city centre. It falls within the coterminous Bonymaen ward for elections to Swansea Council. is Welsh for and there are legends that the same stone ends in on the Gower Peninsula. Overlooking Bon-y-maen on top of Kilvey Hill is the main TV transmitter for Swansea. The local rugby team is Bonymaen RFC. Communities First was a Government of Wales, Welsh Government programme aimed at reducing poverty. The programme was community focused and supported the most disadvantaged people in the most deprived areas of Wales with the aim of contributing to alleviating persistent Poverty in the United Kingdom, poverty. Gower Peninsula
The Gower Peninsula (), or simply Gower (), is a peninsula in the South West Wales, south-west of Wales. West Glamorgan () is a former administrative county in South Wales. It is now a preserved county. West Glamorgan was one of the divisions of the ancient county of Glamorgan.
