Bonner Springs, Kansas
Bonner Springs is a city in Wyandotte, Leavenworth, and Johnson counties, Kansas, United States. It is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 7,837. Bonner Springs was incorporated as a city on November 10, 1898. Bonner Springs is home to the Azura Amphitheater (commonly known as the Sandstone Amphitheater), the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, Wyandotte County Historical Museum, and the annual Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Eddie Carl Nealy (born February 19, 1960) is an American retired basketball player. At 6'7" and 238 pounds, he played as a power forward. After a standout college career, during which he won the Big Eight tournament title in 1980, he went on to play professionally for 11 years. During his professional career, he won the Continental Basketball Association championship in 1986 as a member of the Tampa Bay Thrillers and the NBA championship in 1993 as a member of the Chicago Bulls. David Jaynes
David Duane Jaynes (born December 12, 1952) is a former American football quarterback. He played in college at the University of Kansas, where he was selected to the 1973 College Football All-America Team. That same year, he was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy finishing fourth in voting. He was drafted in the third-round (66th overall selection) of the 1974 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He would play only one season in the NFL. College career Jaynes accepted a football scholarship from the University of Kansas. During the early 1970s, he broke virtually every passing record in Kansas history. When he left Kansas, he was first in passing, with 5,132 yards. This record held for ten years until broken in 1983 by Frank Seurer. The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) is the organization which oversees interscholastic competition in the U.S. state of Kansas at the high-school level. It oversees both athletic and non-athletic competition, and sponsors championships in several sports and activities. History The Kansas State High School Activities Association was formed in 1937 and incorporated in 1956. As early as 1910, Kansas schools organized the statewide Debate League and Athletic Association governed by high school principals.
