Bongani Baloyi
Bongani Michael Baloyi (born 28 February 1987) is a South African politician. In 2013, he was elected Executive Mayor of the Midvaal Local Municipality. He was only 26 years old at the time, and he consequently became the youngest mayor in South Africa. From 2011 to 2013, he was the MMC for Development and Planning in the municipality. Early life and education Baloyi was born on 28 February 1987 in the Thokoza township outside Alberton in the East Rand. He took an interest in politics at a young age. His grandmother is an active member of the African National Congress Women's League. In 1999, he and his newly-divorced mother Patricia, an entrepreneur, and two siblings moved to Daleside, Meyerton. Baloyi has two uncompleted degrees: one in accounting and another one in Business Administration, which he plans to complete in 2022. Xiluva
Xiluva (from the Tsonga language, Tsonga word meaning "flower") is a South African political party launched in March 2023 by former ActionSA Gauteng provincial chairperson, and former Executive Mayor of the Midvaal Local Municipality for the Democratic Alliance (South Africa), Democratic Alliance, Bongani Baloyi. Formation On 13 March 2023, Bongani Baloyi, who had been the provincial chairperson of ActionSA in Gauteng since May 2022, resigned from the party, after he had a fallout with party president Herman Mashaba over Mashaba's intention to remove him as provincial chairperson and appoint him as national spokesperson. Baloyi, then together with former ActionSA caucus leader in the Ekurhuleni, Tlhogi Moseki, announced the formation of Xiluva, which translates to "flower" in Xitsonga, at a press briefing in Johannesburg on 30 March 2023. The African National Congress Women's League (ANCWL) is an auxiliary women's political organization of the African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa. This organization has its precedent in the Bantu Women's League, and it oscillated from being the Women's Section to the Women's League from its founding, through the exile years, and in a post- apartheid South Africa. After women were allowed to become members of the ANC in 1943, the ANCWL was created as the means by which Black South African women could contribute to the national liberation struggle by channeling Black women's political activity into the ANC by way of the ANCWL. Savannah City
A savanna or savannah is a mixed woodland-grassland (i.e. grassy woodland) ecosystem characterised by the trees being sufficiently widely spaced so that the canopy does not close. Helen Zille
Otta Helene Maree (''née'' Zille ; born 9 March 1951), known as Helen Zille, is a South African politician. She has served as the Chairperson of the Federal Council of the Democratic Alliance since 20 October 2019. From 2009 until 2019, she was the Premier of the Western Cape province for two five-year terms, and a member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament.
