Eliezer Jaffe
Eliezer David Jaffe ( he, אליעזר דוד יפה) (10 November 1933 – 25 May 2017) was an Israeli professor of social work specializing in philanthropy and non-profit management. He was Professor Emeritus at The Hebrew University's Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare. Biography Eliezer Jaffe was born in Cleveland Ohio. He came to Israel in 1957 as a volunteer, working in the ma'abarot (immigrant transit camps). Daniel Chamovitz (דניאל חיימוביץ; born April 18, 1963 ) is an American-born plant geneticist and the 7th President of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer-Sheva, Israel. Previously he was Dean of the George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences at Tel Aviv University, Israel, and the director of the multidisciplinary Manna Center Program in Food Safety and Security. Josie Katz ( Hebrew: ג'וזי כץ; born August 14, 1940) is an Israeli singer, actress, dancer and painter who received the Bonei Zion Prize in 2021 for her contributions to arts and culture. Biography Katz was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She made Aliyah at age 19, and resided in the kibbutzim Gesher HaZiv and Urim. In the early sixties she moved to Tel Aviv. Career In 1964 she met musician Shmulik Kraus, who later on became her partner and who inspired her to start singing. Debbie Gross is the founder and director of the religious women crisis center Tahel. David Michael Blatt ( he, דוד מיכאל בלאט; born May 22, 1959), is an Israeli-American professional basketball executive. He is also a former coach and player. Blatt played point guard at Princeton University from 1977 to 1981 and played in the Maccabiah Games for the U.S. national team that won a gold medal in 1981. Leah Abramowitz is the co-founder of Melabev, an organization for dementia patients in Israel which has ten centers in Jerusalem and more in surrounding areas.
