The Bonar River is a short river of New Zealand. It is in Mount Aspiring National Park and flows west for before joining the Waiatoto River. Southern Alps (New Zealand)
The Southern Alps (; officially Southern Alps / Kā Tiritiri o te Moana) is a mountain range extending along much of the length of New Zealand's South Island, reaching its greatest elevations near the range's western side. The name "Southern Alps" generally refers to the entire range, although separate names are given to many of the smaller ranges that form part of it. The range includes the South Island's Main Divide, which separates the water catchments of the more heavily populated eastern side of the island from those on the west coast. Politically, the Main Divide forms the boundary between the Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago regions to the southeast and the Tasman and West Coast regions to the northwest. Waiatoto River
The Waiatoto River is a river of the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. Formed from several small rivers which are fed by glaciers surrounding Mount Aspiring, it flows north along a valley flanked in the west by the Haast Range before turning northwest to reach the Tasman Sea southwest of Haast. Much of the river's length is within Mount Aspiring National Park. The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "water of blood" for . Mount Aspiring National Park
Mount Aspiring National Park is in the Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand, north of Fiordland National Park, situated in Otago and Westland regions. The park forms part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. Geography Established in 1964 as New Zealand's tenth national park, Mount Aspiring National Park covers at the southern end of the Southern Alps, directly to the west of Lake Wānaka, and is popular for tramping, walking and mountaineering. The Taurus Mountains (Turkish: ''Toros Dağları'' or ''Toroslar'') are a mountain complex in southern Turkey, separating the Mediterranean coastal region from the central Anatolian Plateau. Mount Aspiring / Tititea is New Zealand's 23rd-highest mountain. It is the country's highest outside the Aoraki / Mount Cook region. Description Set within Otago's Mount Aspiring National Park, it has a height of . Māori named it ''Tititea'', after a chief of the Waitaha tribe, who were the first people to settle the South Island.
