Bonanza High School
Bonanza High School is a high school in the Las Vegas Valley. It was built in 1976 and was the ninth high school to open in the area. History Bonanza opened in 1976, and is built in the same configuration as Eldorado High School (Nevada), Eldorado High School, Basic High School and Vo-Tech high schools. In the 2004–2005 school year, many former Bonanza students were zoned to attend the newly opened Spring Valley High School (Nevada), Spring Valley High School. XFL (2001)
The XFL was a professional American football league that played its only season in 2001. The XFL was operated as a joint venture between the WWE, World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) and NBC. The XFL was conceived as an outdoor football league that would begin play immediately after the National Football League (NFL) season ended, to take advantage of the perceived lingering public desire to watch football after the NFL and college football seasons conclude. Mark Alan Hutchison (born May 5, 1963) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 34th lieutenant governor of Nevada from 2015 to 2019. He was elected to the Nevada State Senate on November 6, 2012, to represent Nevada Senate, District 6, Senate District 6, which encompasses the Northwest part of the Las Vegas Valley, including portions of the communities of Summerlin, Desert Shores and Sun City. Joe Fernandez (businessman)
Joe Fernandez is a Cuban American businessman most well known for his work on the social media company Klout. He attended, but did not graduate from, the University of Miami. He moved to New York City where he met his wife. He had several jobs at several companies, including Adjoined Technologies, Onboard Information, and Evalulogix, the latter which he co-founded. Fernandez underwent jaw surgery at the age of 30, which contributed to his idea for Klout due to his inability to speak. He started Klout in New York City, and the website launched on December 24, 2008. On March 27, 2014, it was announced that Lithium Technologies had purchased the website from Fernandez. Dick Howser Trophy
The Dick Howser Trophy is bestowed annually to the national college baseball player of the year. The award is named after former collegiate and Major League Baseball (MLB) player and manager Dick Howser, who died as the result of brain cancer on June 17, 1987, at the age of 51. In that same year, the award was established by friends of Howser and presented to Mike Fiore, the inaugural winner. It is considered to be the Heisman Trophy of college baseball. Six winners of the Dick Howser Trophy are members of the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.
