Bolivian Primera División
The División de Fútbol Profesional is the top-flight professional football league in Bolivia. In 2017 it replaced the "Liga de Fútbol Profesional Boliviano" (; ). Since 1950, a total of 16 clubs have been crowned champions of the Bolivian football league system. The current champions are Bolívar, which won the title in the 2024 tournament. Bolívar is also the most successful club in the league, with 31 titles to date. The Bolivian Football Federation (, ; FBF) is the governing body of football in Bolivia. It was founded in 1925, making it the eighth oldest South American federation. It affiliated to CONMEBOL and FIFA in 1926 and is in charge of Bolivia national football team. The Strongest
Club The Strongest is a Bolivian professional football club based in La Paz, that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1908, their team colours are yellow and black. Although they have a home ground, Estadio Rafael Mendoza, (capacity: 15,000), they play most of their games at the Estadio Hernando Siles, Bolivia's national ground (capacity: 42,000). The club is the oldest active football club in Bolivia and the only team to have played continuously in the country's top division for longer than a century. Club Always Ready
Club Deportivo Always Ready is a Bolivian football club from La Paz which plays its home games in nearby El Alto. Due to the jerseys the team is also known as ''Banda Roja'', or the red band. History Club Always Ready was founded on 13 April 1933. The team took part in the La Paz championship, which was held in 1950 under semi-professional conditions; it was organized by La Paz Football Association (LPFA). Despite not having any official status, the winner of the tournament was widely considered the ''de facto'' champion of Bolivia. Always Ready earned their first title in 1951. Academia del Balompié Boliviano, commonly known as ABB, is a Bolivian football club based in La Paz. Founded on 28 June 1985, they play in División Profesional. The team's home base is the Estadio Hernando Siles. History Founded on 28 June 1985 by Isaac Mollinedo and David Condori, the club was initially named ''Asociación Banco do Brasil'' and had the same colours as the Brazil national football team. The club was subsequently renamed to ''Academia del Balompié Boliviano'', and had as first goal to help the development of young players in the La Paz region. Club Deportivo San José is a football club from Oruro, Bolivia, which competed in the Bolivian Primera División until its 2021 season. Founded in 1942, they have won the Bolivian league four times: in 1955, 1995, 2007, and 2018. Their colours are white and blue, and they play at the Estadio Jesús Bermúdez (capacity 35,000).
