Bohumír Bartoněk
Bohumír Bartoněk (born 10 May 1939) is a former international Motorcycle speedway, speedway rider from Czechoslovakia. Speedway career Bartoněk reached the 1959 Continental Speedway final as part of the 1959 Individual Speedway World Championship. Bartoněk helped the Czech Republic reach the final of the inaugural Speedway World Team Cup at the 1960 Speedway World Team Cup, where he won a bronze medal despite not riding because he was the official reserve rider. The Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia was a partially-annexation, annexed territory of Nazi Germany that was established on 16 March 1939 after the Occupation of Czechoslovakia (1938–1945), German occupation of the Czech lands. Jaroslav Volf (speedway Rider)
Jaroslav Volf (; born 29 September 1979, in Brandýs nad Labem) is a Czech slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1994 to 2013. Competing in four Summer Olympics, he won two medals in the C2 event with a silver in 2008 and a bronze in 2004. Volf also won nine medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with six golds (C2: 2006; C2 team: 1999, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2013) and three silvers (C2: 2003, 2013; C2 team: 2010). He is the overall World Cup champion in C2 from 2005. He also won a total of 13 medals at the European Championships (6 golds, 5 silvers and 2 bronzes). Karel Průša
Karel Průša (7 May 1938 – 14 August 2019) was a Czech international speedway rider. Speedway career Průša began his speedway career riding at the Flóra Stadium in Žatec, after being introduced to the sport by his older brother Josef Průša, who was also a speedway rider. Průša reached the final of the Speedway World Team Cup in the 1962 Speedway World Team Cup. The following year in 1963, he took the silver medal behind Luboš Tomíček Sr. in the Czechoslovak Individual Championship. Slaný Speedway Stadium
Slaný Speedway Stadium () is a speedway track in Slaný, Czech Republic. The track is located on the Netovická road in the southeastern area of the town. The stadium hosts the speedway team AK Slaný. History The stadium was constructed throughout 1948 and 1949 and opened on 13 August 1950. Major reconstructions took place in 1958 and 1974, the latter when FIM regulations required a cinder/shale track. In-between the stadium hosted arguably what was its most significant event, the final of the 1962 Speedway World Team Cup, which attracted a crowd of 35,000. Further major events took place at the track when the final of the Speedway Under-21 World Championship was held in 1981 and 1988 respectively. In 1986, the width of the track increased allowing six riders to race and in 1988 a grandstand opened which featured VIP areas and seating for 1,000 spectators.
