Bohdan Company (Ukraine)
The Bohdan Company is a company of the Zakhid Battalion of the Liut Brigade of the Special Tasks Patrol Police subordinated to Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The company is currently based in Khmelnytskyi. It was established in 2014 and has, since then seen regular combat on the frontlines. History On 12 June 2014, following the start of the War in Donbass, the Bohdan Company was established in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. The Company was formed exclusively from volunteers, including many former law enforcement officers and veterans as well as those from "peaceful" professions like drivers, millers and even a poet. In July 2014, the Company's personnel underwent intensive training. The training included long-distance hikes in wooded and rugged terrain and automatic weapons practice amongst others. War In Donbass
The war in Donbas, or the Donbas war, was a phase of the Russo-Ukrainian War in the eastern Donbas region of Ukraine. The war began in April 2014, when Russian paramilitaries seized several towns. Ukraine's military launched an operation against them, but failed to fully retake the territory. Covertly, Russia's military were directly involved, and the separatists were largely under Russian control. The war continued until subsumed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Debaltseve
Debaltseve (, ) or Debaltsevo (), is a city in Horlivka Raion, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, currently occupied by Russia as part of the Donetsk People's Republic. The city is situated on the eastern edge of Donetsk Oblast, and borders Luhansk Oblast. Vuhlehirsk (, ; ) is a city in Horlivka Raion, Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Vuhlehirsk had a population of 8,226 in 2011; more recently, its population was estimated to be Vuhlehirsk is a district-level city in the Donetsk region, subordinated to the Yenakiieve city council.
