Paul Robert Ignatius (born November 11, 1920) is an American government official who served as Secretary of the Navy between 1967 and 1969 and was the Assistant Secretary of Defense during the Lyndon Johnson Administration. Saint Paul and Peter Church (; ''Surp Poghos-Petros yekeghetsi'') was an Armenian Apostolic church in Yerevan, Armenia originally built during the 5th-6th centuries. It was demolished in November 1930 to make room for the Moscow Cinema on Abovyan Street. History According to Armenian historian Karo Ghafadaryan, the church of Saint Peter and Paul was the oldest and biggest church in old Yerevan. It was not the only church in old Yerevan. Sourp Boghos Chapel, Nicosia
Sourp Boghos (; Saint Paul) is an Armenian Apostolic chapel in Nicosia, Cyprus. The chapel is located in the old Armenian cemetery near the Ledra Palace hotel, very near the Nicosia city centre, was built in 1892 by the will and testament of Boghos G. Odadjian, a translator for the British administration of Cyprus. The cemetery was used as a burial place until 1931, when its operation was discontinued by the government for health reasons, and another Armenian cemetery started its operation to the west of Ayios Dhometios. However, until the 1963-1964 inter-communal troubles, the chapel was used a few times a year to celebrate Liturgies. Poghos Poghosyan
Poghos Poghosyan (; 1958 – September 25, 2001) was an ethnic Armenian from the Javakheti region of Georgia. He was killed at Poplavok cafe in Yerevan on September 25, 2001 by the bodyguards of then President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. Kocharyan's bodyguards pleaded not guilty to the accusations. While at the cafe, a seated Poghosyan saw Kocharyan (a former classmate) leaving the cafe with Charles Aznavour and greeted him by saying "Hi Rob" (պրիվետ Ռոբ, '':wikt:привет#Russian, privet Rob'') as they left. This very casual greeting was taken as an insult by the president, and his bodyguards approached Poghosyan's table and asked to have a word with him. He was taken to the toilet where he was beaten and declared dead 10 minutes later by an ambulance paramedic. Eastern Armenian () is one of the two standardized forms of Modern Armenian, the other being Western Armenian. The two standards form a pluricentric language. Eastern Armenian is spoken in Armenia, Russia, as well as Georgia, and by the Armenian community in Iran. Poghos Bek-Pirumyan (; 8 June 1856 – 19 January 1921) was an Armenian military commander. He served as a colonel for the Russian Empire in World War I and was a commander of the Battle of Sardarabad. Biography Poghos Bek-Pirumyan was born on 8 June 1856 in Nakhichevanik village of the Shusha uezd of the Elizavetpol Governorate within the Russian Empire. He is the cousin of Daniel Bek-Pirumian. Poghos graduated from the high school in Shusha, then attended cadet school, and joined the Imperial Russian Army in 1878. He held several positions of battalion and regiment commander, and participated in both the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78 and the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–05.
