Professional wrestling throws are the application of professional wrestling techniques that involve lifting the opponent up and throwing or slamming them down. They are sometimes also called "power" maneuvers, as they are meant to emphasize a wrestler's strength. Many of these moves are used as finishers by various wrestlers, who refer to them by several different names that reflect their gimmick. Moves are listed under general categories whenever possible. Armbreaker An armbreaker is any move in which the wrestler slams the opponent's arm against a part of the wrestler's body, usually a knee or shoulder. Diving armbreaker A wrestler dives from the ropes and lands on the opponent's arm. Double knee armbreaker The wrestler grabs one of the opponent's arms, jumps and connects both their knees against the opponent's stretched arm. "Body Slam" is a song that was recorded by Bootsy's Rubber Band, co-written by Bootsy Collins and the keyboard player Joel "Razor Sharp" Johnson. It was released in 1982 by Warner Bros. Records. The song did not appear on any of Collins' albums until the 1994 release of the compilation '' Back in the Day: The Best of Bootsy''. The song is a reconstruction of the track "Countracula (This One's For You)" from the album '' The One Giveth, the Count Taketh Away''. Body Slam (film)
''Body Slam'' is a 1986 American comedy film directed by Hal Needham and starring Dirk Benedict, Roddy Piper, Tanya Roberts, Sam Fatu, and Lou Albano, Captain Lou Albano. The film revolves around a down-and-out music promoter who inadvertently becomes a successful professional wrestling manager (professional wrestling), manager. After being exiled from the business by a rival manager, he finds success in promoting shows that feature both wrestling and rock music. The film features many well-known wrestlers of the time and references the 1980s professional wrestling boom, Rock 'n' Wrestling era of professional wrestling. Hal Needham had arguments with the pair that produced and wrote the film regarding his changes to the script, resulting in lawsuits that delayed the film's release. Bodyslam is a Thai rock band. They are known for their dynamic performances and deep lyrics, having released their first album in 2002. History Bodyslam was originally called La - On () which means kids or younger people, inspired by the name of freshman orientations at Suankularb Wittayalai School, the elementary school the band (the initial "La-on")'s members attended. In 1996, the band entered a band competition for high school students called 'Hot Wave Music Awards' and won the first prize, beating nearly a hundred other bands. La-on quickly signed a record deal with record company Music Bugs, and released a self-titled pop-rock album in 1997. "Dai Rue Plao" (ได้หรือเปล่า) became their most recognized song.
