''BodyShaping'' is an American fitness and exercise television series that has shown on ESPN, with segments on weight training, cardiovascular exercise, stretching and nutrition. It was in production from 1988 to 1998, and has been in reruns ever since. The list of cast members has included personalities such as Deprise Brescia, Cory Everson, Kiana Tom, Carla Dunlap, Keelin Curnuck, Jennifer Dempster, Page Langton, Rick Valente, Kendell Hogan, Mary Jean Traetta, and Laurie Donnelly and cameo appearances by supermodel Kathy Ireland. Rick Valente
Rick Valente is an American former competitive bodybuilder and host of the ESPN television show ''BodyShaping''. He was the winner of the 1983 Mr. Los Angeles competition. Early life Valente was born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 11, 1958. He trained in karate at the West Haven Academy of Karate as a child and the West Haven Assembly of the Martial Arts Academy as a teenager. After graduating from high school Valente moved to Florida to work as a lifeguard and nightclub bouncer. At 19 he won an amateur bodybuilding competition at the nightclub he worked at, Summer’s Night Club in Fort Lauderdale. Corinna "Cory" Everson (née Kneuer; born January 4, 1958) is an American female bodybuilding champion and actress. Everson won the Ms. Olympia contest six years in a row from 1984 to 1989. Carla Dunlap
Carla Dunlap-Kaan (born October 22, 1954) is a professional American female bodybuilding champion. Early life and education Dunlap was born in 1954, in Newark, New Jersey. She started competing in sports with gymnastics at age 10. She later competed in swimming, both speed and synchronized. Dunlap attended the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts on a full scholarship, earning a degree in Advertising Design. She won the gold medal in synchronized swimming in the 1977 Junior National Team Championships, and a bronze medal at the inaugural National Sports Festival in 1978.
